Graduate summa cum laude in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Genova. Following a period as manager at the world's leading integrated electromechanical engineering groups in the nuclear and conventional energy sector, he was appointed first of all General Manager of a national research consortium and subsequently Chief Executive Officer of an italian leading centre of innovation in materials. Following almost twenty years in top management positions, he set up, together with other partners a consulting firm in the sector of technology transfer and business creation. In the last 15 years, around thirty business development, creation and restructuring projects have been carried out, involving both large industrial groups and small and medium size firms and private entities with the support of various italian and foreign banks.
In addition to the experience and expertise acquired, he was MBA lecturer in the “Technological Innovation” course at the Luiss University in Rome and still holds a chair at the University of Genova in Mechanics and Machines, Power Stations, Applied Energetics and the Environmental Impact of Energy Systems. He is a member of the council of the Network Applicativo of the INFM, has published more than 70 scientific works.
